In honour of Mandela Day, all 1400 boys from St David’s Marist Inanda (Sandton and Alexandra Campuses) and Prep School dedicated their 67 minutes to a meaningful act of service packing soup bags for communities in need.

Ahead of the day, boys were encouraged to bring items such as rice, lentils, and soup mix to school. With hands and hearts at work, they spent the time carefully packing individual soup bags destined for Groot Marico and St Hubert’s Church in Alexandra.

Thanks to their collective effort, an incredible total of 2 750 soup bags were prepared and are now ready to help nourish families in need. We were grateful for every boy, family and staff member who contributed – their generosity and spirit of service truly embodied the legacy of Madiba.
